Gifted or Hardworking?

There are always a time where we compared with our friends during school's day or even in working life etc. Some are really gifted in things they do, like wise the same things also happen in my Aikido class. Some students just happen to pick up the movement more easily then others, where others took a longer them in learning. So some of the students might feel pressure when their juinor that join later then them but train with better result compare with them :) Those senior sometime forgotten that their juinor did really spent a lot of them training, looking at veido, searching for information about Aikido etc.

I remember my instructor use to say about me. "You are not gifted like him, but what make your outstanding is because of your passion and hardworking." Don't under estimate yourself in your training, there are things you can't do well, but there are things you can do better also. For those who already reach certain level of training, may it be Kyu grade or Dan grade, don't forget there is always someone going to climb over you one day. Actually that is a good progess also, humble and hardwork will bring you to the top of Mount Fuji. Some might take a longer way, some shorter way to the top, but for those who always think their ideal is correct yet they stop training..... i might say gifted in your own way but yet you stop.... sorry you will never make it to the submit we are heading for one day. Correct maybe we will never make it to see the sun rise of Mount Fuji due to our training concept and ideal also, yet we never stop, our hearts already reaches there :) As for me martial art training doesn't only mean skill in techinque, how many people you can defend or defeat with, even doing nothing phyiscal for few years is also consider a kind of training, if you bring Aikido into your life, your training become everything you see and do :)

Even we are not as good as other say in turn of whatever technique, skill, understanding, Ki etc, but our hardwork always give us smile and laughter in the dojo.
